In a previous life I was an art historian with a background in charity work. Now I’m a stay at home mom to two little girls by day and a quilter by night. I started quilting in grad school as a way to procrastinate, fell down the rabbit hole of quilting blogs and have been sewing ever since. Working with different charity sewing groups has let me blend my past volunteer work with my love of quilting, and because there is never enough time in the day, I love helping people find ways they can work giving to others into their own lives. I write a series over on Sew Mama Sew called Sew Good, which highlights various awesome charity sewing and quilting projects, and am always looking for suggestions. I’m from New York City but home is in Ohio now, which is handy because there are a lot of fabric stores out here.
